It's a a one-day event exploring humanity’s relationship with the planets beyond our own solar system. Organized by CLOT Magazine, SciArt Initiative, and Multiverse, Other Skies is a fascinating amalgamation of multi-media installations, musical performances, and educational lectures. The festival investigates what exoplanets might look like, how we communicate with and through space, and what it means for our place in the universe if we are not alone.
The primary logotype fits within a box, and is centered around a circle, representing the rotation of planets around a solar system. The bars of each letter are manipulated to form an arc, showing the circularity of our universe.
The letter ‘I’ in SKIES is centered horizontally, and at the end is a symbol of a star. The circle motif also represents the shape of various stars and planets. The coordinate plane, which is a part of the icon, is a common way to visualize the mapping of the universe, and is seen throughout the system.
Using assets that I created in Cinema 4D, each collateral centers around the idea of an imaginary three-dimensional space, incorporating a combination of 3D assets and simple shapes with a thin stroke weight.
